Costa Blanca sights and information

The Costa Blanca is a very popular region of Spain. On the one hand, this is due to the pleasant sea climate, and on the other hand due to the enormous variety of the region. You can find snow-capped mountains, but also sunny beaches and rocky coastlines. The Costa Blanca has a coastline of four hundred kilometres! Enjoy delicious paella on the seashore or choose a local speciality.

Those who enjoy art and culture are also at the right place. The town of Altea has been influences by the Flower Power generation since the 60s and is still an inspirational place for artists.

Slightly more touristy is Benidorm, a popular holiday destination for the Dutch since time out of mind. The bay of Benidorm has three kilometres of sandy beach, set against a fascinating backdrop of mountains. These mountains shelter the town from excessive wind, thereby guaranteeing a pleasant climate.

Another well-known city is Alicante a vivacious student town. The atmosphere in the old town is without equal. The old castle forms the cultural heart, but dont miss out on visiting the harbour!

South of Alicante is the charming little town of Guardamar del Segura. This city has gorgeous beaches and dunes. It even features a popular and protected forest area. Experience the typical Spanish way of life here and enjoy a delicious meal at the quaint harbour.

Finally, theres Torrevieja. The spot for a wonderful beach holiday. The beaches here are clean, safe and with excellent quality sand. More interested in playing a round of golf? Then this is the place for you. Torrevieja is one of the cities on the Costa Blanca featuring several beautiful golf courses. Famous in the region are the two salt-water lakes where stunning natural parks have been created around.
