Shopping in Costa Blanca and Costa Cálida

Anyone who loves shopping can enjoy this fully in Spain. There are many different nice shops and boutiques. All larger Spanish cities have big shopping malls, of which most are covered. These shopping malls offer a wide range of fashion brands and a large area with various restaurants, children's play areas, and some a cinema and games hall. Often there are also nice bars and a large supermarket. So no nee to be bored. In addition, the big cities often have a cozy old centre with beautiful streets. In it we naturally find shops, but also tapas restaurants, bars and restaurants. Large TV screens are present in almost all major shopping malls, which are of course very important for the Spanish; to watch football.

In addition to shopping malls, we also find the weekly market in every Spanish city and village. Big or small, but always fun to stroll over.

Here are some of the most famous shopping malls and shopping cities on the Costa Blanca and Costa Cálida (north) at a glance:

Benidorm has a nice old town with numerous shopping streets and restaurants. Also try the "tapas street" where you will find many cozy tapas restaurants. Absolutely recommended!

Near Benidorm, in Finestrat, we also find the shopping mall La Marina, where you will find a variety of shops, restaurants and supermarkets.

The beautiful harbor city of Alicante has a lot to offer: the beautiful Gran Via, El Corte Ingles, Vista Hermosa, Plaza Mar 2 and of course we still have the boulevard at the harbor of Alicante.

Elche is also a great city for shopping. Did you know that Elche has the largest shoe industry in Spain? So you can certainly purchase a nice pair of shoes here. In the shopping mall L'Aljub there are various shops and you can enjoy a nice shopping afternoon or evening here. And of course there is also an El Corte Inglés in the city of Elche.

Also in Torrevieja you can shop well in the Habaneras shopping mall.

In addition, in summertime you will find a large tourist nightmarket in Torrevieja close to the harbor. In the area next to the market there is a large fun fair from spring untill the end of summer. Most stalls on the market and the fair open between 5 and 6 pm. However, it will not be crowded until around 8 pm and the lively evening life starts.

In Spain there are many nice places to shop. A very popular shopping mall is La Zenia Boulevard, this shopping mall offers shopping pleasure 365 days a year. 

A little further on we find Dos Mares in San Javier; a nice indoor shopping mall with a cinema and many restaurants, this shopping mall is open 365 days a year. Not a very large shopping mall, but it is nice for a few hours.

In Murcia you can also enjoy shopping. There are plenty of shops in the beautiful old town. Many boutiques and of course also an El Corte Ingles. There is a large Ikea and two large shopping malls;  Thader and Nueva Condomina.

Cartagena is also a beautiful city for shopping, in this beautiful old town you will find many nice shops and boutiques. And a square full of restaurants. At the harbor you can enjoy a nice glass of wine with some tapas after shopping. Large cruise ships make use of the many shops in this city, but also because it is an ancient city; make sure you look around to the beautifully restored buildings and if you have time then visit the amphitheatre. Near Cartagena we also find a large shopping mall Espacio mediterraneo, which guarantees shopping pleasure 365 days a year.
