Sleep in the Spanish heat

Sleep in the Spanish heat

Spain has a pleasant climate, but in the summer there it still can be very warm. Who does not recognize those nights, those horrible nights because the heat does make sleeping a total nightmare. We will put some tips to still get to a good night's sleep in the Spanish heat.

  1. Try to reduce the temperature in your bedroom. Of course this is difficult, because it is outside twenty-five degrees and over, but direct a fan towards the open window keeps heat out. Also hanging a wet towel on the window varies a few degrees. Turn off as many electrical devices. These cause heat too.
  2. Warm your body up. It sounds uncomfortable, but sleeping together will get you warmer. Bodies will warm each other up. Therefore, sleep only when the temperature is above thirty degrees. Also wear light sleep clothing or sleep naked. Of course this is a matter of taste. Also an idea: take a hot shower. The warmth of the water ensures that your body temperature decreases. This improves your sleep.
  3. Adjust your diet. A great meal at night will be processed by your body. The body works hard for and thereby heats up. Consuming a simple salad ensures that your body ingests the right nutrients, but your body does not have to work excessively hard. Be careful with drinking. Of course it is good to get enough moisture, but do not drink too much. You'll often have to wake up to urinate and then is it difficult to get to sleep again.

We hope that we have provided a good night's sleep with these tips!
